Your direct path to diving the JJ-CCR under RAID, personally trained by a RAID CCR Instructor Trainer & Examiner.
Instant access to your online learning, course preparation modules. Begin training immediately.
The JJ-CCR Crossover program is designed for already-certified CCR divers who want to transition safely onto the JJ-CCR and align their training with RAID’s unit-specific standards. You’ll consolidate your existing MOD-level experience, learn JJ-specific procedures, and complete a streamlined version of the RAID MOD1, MOD2, and MOD3 pathways.
Unit-Specific Mastery: Learn the exact configuration, checklists, emergency drills, and bailout protocols required to dive the JJ-CCR.
Efficient Crossover: Complete a shortened, assessment-based version of RAID MOD1, MOD2, and MOD3 rather than full courses.
Standards-Aligned Training: Your crossover follows the RAID General Diving Standards, which require a RAID Core Rebreather Program plus a JJ-CCR unit-specific specialty for certified CCR divers crossing over to a new unit.
Progressive Depth & Deco Skills: Confirm and refine your skills from no-decompression CCR dives through to staged decompression, Normoxic Trimix and Hypoxic Trimix profiles, depending on your target level.
Real-World Preparedness: Train with an instructor who focuses on realistic drills, bailout planning, and JJ-CCR failure management, so you’re ready for actual dives, not just exam questions.
You’ll develop the skills, confidence, and discipline required to conduct JJ-CCR dives in line with RAID’s MOD1–MOD3 performance requirements. Focus areas include:
JJ-CCR assembly, unit checks and start-up sequence
Full manufacturer & RAID pre-dive checklists
Loop control, buoyancy, and trim on the JJ-CCR
Oxygen control (automatic & manual set-point management)
Diluent management, ADV use and loop flushing
Bailout planning and execution (OC bailout & off-board gas)
Rescue skills and team-based problem solving
JJ-CCR specific fault-finding and emergency drills
Decompression planning and gas strategies at each level
Hypoxic Trimix procedures and deep bailout considerations (MOD3)
Available Levels:
MOD1: Deco 40m or Limited Trimix 45m
MOD2: Normoxic Trimix 60m
MOD3: Hypoxic Trimix 80–100m

To enrol, you must:
Be at least 18 years old
Be a certified CCR diver with a recognised training agency
Hold the appropriate existing level for the crossover you want:
MOD1 crossover: Existing CCR certification to at least 30–40m level
MOD2 crossover: Existing Normoxic Trimix CCR certification
MOD3 crossover: Existing Hypoxic Trimix CCR certification
RAID Standards require that a certified rebreather diver crossing over to a new unit completes the RAID Core Rebreather Program and a unit-specific Specialty, and demonstrates all skills to the level sought before certification is awarded.
Your training is delivered personally by Stuart Girdler, RAID CCR Instructor Trainer & Examiner, who ensures every student meets the RAID standards while applying them to real dives.
Training follows a three-stage, experience-based progression:
Complete the RAID Core CCR academics and MOD1-level skills verification on the JJ-CCR:
RAID online CCR theory, knowledge reviews and exam
JJ-CCR configuration, assembly and pre-dive checklists
Buoyancy, trim and loop control in confined water
Manual oxygen control and set-point management
Basic failures: high / low PO₂, flood response, bailout to OC
Safe no-decompression dives to 40m
Crossing at Normoxic level, you’ll complete a condensed RAID MOD2 verification:
Normoxic Trimix theory refresh and RAID-style planning
Set-point changes and diluent flushes at depth
Multiple deco stop management on the JJ-CCR
Increased task loading and situational awareness
Advanced bailout planning, including off-board options
JJ-CCR failure scenarios rehearsed at realistic depths
Crossing at Hypoxic level, this is where you complete your JJ-CCR deep-level evaluation:
Hypoxic Trimix JJ-CCR procedures to RAID
Full-profile deep dives within RAID MOD3 limits (80–100m, conditions-dependent)
Complex bailout scenarios and team rescue skills
Deeper decompression strategies and contingency planning
Final JJ-CCR skills sign-off for RAID MOD3 certification
Instant access to your online learning, course preparation modules. Begin training immediately.

Depth Limits:
MOD1 up to 40 m
MOD2 up to 60 m (Normoxic Trimix)
MOD3 up to 80–100 m (Hypoxic Trimix)
Loop PO₂: Maximum planned PO₂ as prescribed by RAID Standards
Gases: Air, Nitrox and Trimix as permitted for MOD level
Skill Focus: General CCR skills plus JJ-CCR unit-specific protocols
Certification: Valid for diving and maintaining the JJ-CCR within your certified rating
Unit Use: Training and certification are unit-specific to the JJ-CCR
Your JJ-CCR crossover is delivered personally by Stuart Girdler, RAID CCR Instructor Trainer & Examiner, with extensive experience across multiple CCR units. Stuart’s teaching philosophy prioritises:
Unit-Specific Competence: You leave the course knowing how to set up, troubleshoot and safely dive your JJ-CCR rebreather.
Bailout Readiness: Conservative, realistic bailout planning based on your gas consumption, dive objectives and depth.
Real-World Drills: Training dives and scenarios that mirror real failures and decision-making, not just scripted skills.
All training is conducted under direct supervision and in line with the RAID General Diving Standards for CCR diver and instructor ratios.
