Your first step into silent extended time rebreather diving under the guidance of a RAID CCR Instructor Trainer & Examiner.
Instant access to your online learning, course preparation modules. Begin training immediately.
This course is focused solely on teaching the mastery of your specific CCR unit, maximizing bottom time and minimizing disturbance. It offers unique benefits:
True silent diving: Minimal bubbles + long bottom times
Massive efficiency gains: Dramatically extended gas duration
Advanced buoyancy: Precision trim and stability
Transition into full technical diving: Natural stepping stone to Deco 40M, Limited Trimix 45M, and beyond
Unit-specific mastery: You learn your rebreather in detail
This is the essential starting point for all serious CCR divers.
This course is focused solely on teaching the mastery of your specific CCR unit, maximizing bottom time and minimizing disturbance. It offers unique benefits:
Loop volume and PO₂ control
Diluent flushes and alarms
Unit pre-dive setup and checks
Emergency bailout procedures
Sensor validation and monitoring
Buoyancy and trim for CCR stability
Gas planning and unit-specific awareness
Low-/high-O₂ procedures
Stage handling (single bailout cylinder)
This course builds your competence, confidence, and situational awareness as a new CCR diver.
Max Depth: 40 metres (130 feet)
Dive Type: No-Decompression
Breathing Gases: 100% O₂ + diluent with ≥21% O₂
Mandatory Equipment: 1 bailout cylinder
Unit-Specific: Training completed on your exact CCR model

To enrol in the RAID Rebreather Diver course, you must meet the following requirements:
Be 18 years or older
Be certified as a RAID Explorer 30 / Nitrox diver or equivalent (implied by deeper CCR programs; if different, you can paste additional prerequisites)
Have logged sufficient open-circuit experience (implied in the RAID flow — your Deco 40M page embeds OC prerequisites when needed)
Complete all online registration and documentation
Complete a RAID medical questionnaire (doctor’s clearance if required)
If using a sidemount CCR: RAID Sidemount Diver (or equivalent) certification
Crossover divers must meet RAID CCR crossover standards
Your training blends digital learning, confined-water precision, and open-water performance.
Complete the RAID e-learning modules, quizzes, and final exam, covering:
CCR mechanics and physiology
Oxygen exposure management
Diluent use and flush protocols
Buoyancy fundamentals on CCR
Unit configuration and pre-dive procedures
Minimum requirement of 1 confined-water dive (60 mins min)
Loop control and breathing cadence
Buoyancy & trim foundations
Low-/high-PO₂ responses
Diluent flush procedures
Manual O₂ addition
Emergency bailout simulation
The RAID CCR skills circuit as outlined in the instructor guide
Minimum requirement:
8 total in-water sessions
480 minutes total underwater time
Minimum 6 open-water dives, with 360 minutes underwater
If only one confined dive is completed → 7 open-water dives
If two confined dives are completed → 6 open-water dives
At least two dives must reach ≥27m / 90ft
Instant access to your online learning, course preparation modules. Begin training immediately.

Conduct no-decompression CCR dives to 40m / 130ft
Use 100% oxygen and a diluent with ≥21% oxygen
Dive only the specific CCR unit you were trained on
Use one bailout cylinder sized according to a 50 L/min SAC requirement
This course directly connects to:
➜ RAID CCR Decompression Diver (40M Deco)
➜ RAID CCR Limited Trimix Diver (45M Trimix)
➜ RAID CCR Normoxic Trimix Diver (60M)
➜ RAID CCR Hypoxic Trimix Diver (100M)
Your instructor trains you directly on the same CCR model you’ll be diving. All confined and open-water sessions are closely supervised for safety, mastery, and confidence-building.
