Mastering the Core OC Decompression Diver Skills

Training is delivered through a structured progression, blending online theory, confined skills, and deep-diving execution.

Step 1: Online Learning

The theoretical study portion is completed at your own pace via RAID's sophisticated online learning platform, allowing you to absorb critical information before the practical sessions.

Step 2: Confined Water Skills

Your sessions begin in controlled water, allowing your instructor to introduce new, complex skills incrementally. You will practice perfect trim, buoyancy, propulsion techniques, and drill skills until they become automatic.

Step 3: Open Water Dives

Once your comfort and mastery are confirmed, your instructor will complete the necessary open water certification dives. These confirm your capability to apply what you learned in a realistic extended-range environment.

OPEN CIRCUIT TEC

RAID OC Tec courses focus on advanced open-circuit diving skills, including gas planning, decompression, and deep diving techniques for extended range exploration.

CLOSED CIRCUIT TEC

RAID CCR Tec training introduces divers to closed-circuit rebreathers, offering precision, efficiency, and longer dive times through cutting-edge technology

Why Choose the RAID Rebreather Diver?

This course teaches you how to safely transition from no-decompression CCR diving into planned, controlled decompression. It focuses on short, efficient decompression profiles using Air or Nitrox as the breathing gas, without the added complexity of Trimix.

  • Planned Decompression: Learn to safely manage mandatory decompression stops, significantly extending your bottom time at depth.

  • Optimal Efficiency: Train to conduct planned decompression dives up to 10 minutes of total obligation, making full use of your CCR’s gas efficiency and loop stability.

  • Unit-Specific Mastery: Receive precise, unit-specific instruction on bailout planning, decompression protocols, and safe oxygen exposure limits for decompression scenarios.

What You’ll Learn in the RAID CCR Deco Diver 40M Course

The RAID Deco Rebreather Diver course gives you the skills, confidence, and discipline required to conduct planned decompression CCR dives to 40 metres (130 feet) using Air or Nitrox. You’ll learn to plan and conduct decompression dives using your own unit, focusing on:

  • Loop PO₂ control and setpoint stability

  • Bailout readiness and gas switching

  • Decompression calculations and procedures

  • Real-world problem solving under direct supervision
